Senators Tim Scott and Jeff Sessions Make Friendly Wager on NCAA Championship Game

Washington, DC – Ahead of next week’s showdown for the NCAA College Football National Championship between the Clemson Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide, Senators Tim Scott (R-SC) and Jeff Sessions (R-AL) have made a friendly wager on who will take this year’s title – with barbeque and neckties on the line.

“With an undefeated record this season, I’m extremely confident the Clemson Tigers will bring the championship title back to South Carolina,” Senator Scott said. “I look forward to enjoying some Alabama barbeque with my staff. May the best team win – Go Tigers!

If the Tigers win, Senator Sessions will not only have to sport a Clemson necktie in the halls of the U.S. Capitol for a day, but he’ll also have to treat Senator Scott and his office to barbeque from Alabama.

And if the Crimson Tide takes the championship title, Senator Scott will provide Senator Sessions and his office with South Carolina barbeque and wear an Alabama necktie.
