Senator Scott Announces Ticket Availability for Simulcast of Pope Address on Capitol Lawn

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) announced details on obtaining tickets for the upcoming visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to the U.S. Capitol. On September 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., Pope Francis will be the first pope to address a joint meeting of Congress.

Senator Scott’s office will offer a limited number of tickets to constituents to view the September 24th address live from outdoor jumbotrons on the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol.

South Carolinians interested in these standing room only, outdoor tickets, should contact Senator Scott’s Washington office at (855) 425-6324 with their full name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number and number of tickets requested. The deadline for requests is Thursday, September 17, at 5:30 p.m. Due to the limited amount of tickets, Senator Scott’s office cannot guarantee that all requests can be fulfilled.

Those receiving tickets will be notified via e-mail and must pick them up in person at the Senator’s Washington office. Tickets are non-transferable and all ticket-holders are responsible for their own transportation, lodging and other trip expenses.

Those unable to travel to Washington can view the Pope’s address here.
