More than 100 Employers, 25 VA Claims Reps to Attend Senator Scott’s Veterans Jobs Fair on Monday

Charleston, SC – On Monday, at least 110 employers from across South Carolina, as well as 25 claims representatives from the VA regional office in Columbia, will be in attendance at a Veterans Jobs and Resources Fair hosted by U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) in North Charleston from 10AM-2PM.
Each fair is free and open to all veterans and their families. The VA claims representatives will be both processing new cases and helping veterans with existing claims.
The Jobs and Resources Fair comes at the conclusion of a series of workshops throughout South Carolina as part of Senator Scott’s Veterans Job Training Initiative. A second fair will be held in Greenville on March 25.
Senator Scott is holding the fair in partnership with the City of North Charleston, the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, Columbia Regional VA, the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, SC Works Trident, Operation Palmetto Employment and numerous area partners and veterans service organizations.
Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their current resume or a list of work experiences.
