Senator Tim Scott Discusses Opportunity Agenda at AEI
Washington-Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) joined House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), and AEI President Arthur Brooks today at the American Enterprise Institute to discuss conservative solutions for the middle class.
Senator Scott focused on his Opportunity Agenda, with school choice, job skills training, and job creation at the core of his message.

Over the last 10 years, we’ve seen over 6,000 students go through the Opportunity Scholarship program, and it has produced remarkable results…That breaks the generational poverty that has existed for so long.”
“If we’re going to address these great challenges we’re going to have to look at the roots. Sometimes they’re pretty simple: education, and skills, two parts of my Opportunity Agenda that actually help us eliminate poverty permanently as opposed to having simple band-aids brought to you by the United States government that cost too much, deliver too little and don’t alleviate the ultimate pain.”
