Scott Files Bill To Help Military Families Educate Children

(Washington, DC) — Tim Scott is behind an effort he says will help the children of military families get a quality education.

The Republican senator announced yesterday that he and two colleagues filed a bill to create Military Education Savings Accounts.

The bill would allow families to tap into six thousand dollars they could use for a private school, online classes, tutoring, college prep courses or other educational needs.

Scott says making sure children of military members are taken care of will raise retention rates and help with recruiting.
