ICYMI: Scott Announces SLED Special Agent Anthony Sampson as Special Guest for State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) announces Special Agent Anthony Sampson of the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) as his guest to tonight’s State of the Union address.

“Anthony embodies an unwavering commitment to public safety for all South Carolinians. He understands the need to improve recruitment, better train our officers, and keep all of our families safe. While some want to defund and dismantle our police departments, I’ve been working toward common ground solutions that actually have a shot at passing, ones that increase funding and training to make sure only the best – such as Special Agent Sampson – wear the badge.”

Special Agent Sampson has served with SLED for over a decade and spent 5 years as a sergeant at the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
