PHOTO RELEASE: Senator Scott Makes Opportunity Tour Stop in New Hampshire, Boston

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) continued his national Opportunity Tour late last week with stops in Manchester, NH and Boston, MA. The stops included discussions with local, community and state-wide leaders about Opportunity Zones and Sen. Scott’s overall agenda that is focused on promoting job creation and economic growth in local communities.

Sen. Scott spent Friday morning in Manchester, NH for a tour of Spectrum Marketing. Sen. Scott was joined by Governor Chris Sununu, Spectrum Marketing CEO Richard Pease, employees of Spectrum Marketing, and other community leaders and engaged in a discussion on Opportunity Zones and the Recovery Friendly Workplace initiative. The Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative, introduced by New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, promotes individual wellness for individuals by empowering workplaces to provide support for people who are recovering from various addictions. This initiative provides businesses with the support they need to create a support system for their employees who are recovering.

Sen. Scott spent the afternoon in Boston, MA where he visited the Whittier Street public housing site in Roxbury Crossing. There, he joined in a discussion on Opportunity Zones, their anticipated potential impact in the area, and broader community and economic development activity.
