Scott Statement on President Biden’s Budget Request

WASHINGTON – Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) issued the following statement on President Biden’s budget request for fiscal year 2024:

“After presiding over two years of irresponsible spending and the largest expansion of government since the 1960s, President Biden still wants to tax too much, spend too much, and blame too much. This budget isn’t just bad policy, it’s a blueprint for weakening America at home and abroad. The Biden administration has a fanatical obsession with spending and taxation. What Americans need is a fervent commitment to expanding economic empowerment and opportunity – the keys to creating a better country and future prosperity for all. Americans need a government that works for them, not against them.”
