Scott Statement on Whole Women’s Health v. Hellerstedt

Washington – U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) released the following statement sharing his disappointment following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on Whole Women’s Health v. Hellerstedt.

Scott said, “The question asked in Whole Women’s Health v. Hellerstedt was a simple one: should abortion providers be required to follow common sense health standards to protect women? This should not be a pro-life or pro-choice issue – women deserve access to safe and sanitary conditions, period. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed in the Supreme Court’s decision today that will put women’s health at risk.”
