“Because of nine lives, South Carolina was changed forever. We saw people coming together, hand-in-hand, tens of thousands, on the Ravenel Bridge saying, ‘Hate will not consume this state. Love will rise to the occasion.’ And it did,” said Senator Scott.

“God bless Mother Emanuel Church. God bless the great state of South Carolina. And may we honor their sacrifice by coming together in a unified spirit of love,” he concluded.
