Charleston, SC– U.S. Senator Tim Scott made the following statement in honor of Memorial Day. Tomorrow, Senator Scott will attend a Memorial Day ceremony at American Legion Post 147 in Charleston.

“Our troops, veterans, and their families make sacrifices every day to protect freedom and preserve our way of life,” Senator Scott said. “Their dedication and commitment are unmatched and we owe them all our gratitude – on Memorial Day and every day. I’m especially thankful for the brave men and women of South Carolina who are preserving peace around the world. Let’s all take a moment this Memorial Day to commemorate their bravery as we pray for our soldiers, veterans, and their family members who have given up so much on our behalf.”
