Veterans Honor Ceremonies to Be Held in Upstate, Lowcountry

Senator Tim Scott to thank Korean war era vets on 60th anniversary of Armistice
Charleston, SC – U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) today announced that Korean War era veterans will be honored at two events in South Carolina on July 27th. The honor ceremonies will be held at USC-Upstate in Spartanburg and the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston.
“The bravery and sacrifice of the men and women who fought for our nation during the Korean War will never be forgotten,” Scott said. “I am truly humbled by their strength, and I am honored to hold this special ceremony for them. While we can never fully repay our veterans for their heroism, we can ensure they are treated with the honor and respect they deserve. I look forward to seeing South Carolina’s Korean War era veterans on July 27th!”
Each veteran will receive a special Congressional Certificate of Appreciation, as well as a pin. All interested veterans should register with Senator Scott’s office by calling either his Greenville (864-233-5366) or North Charleston (843-727-4525) offices to ensure they will receive a certificate and be recognized.
