Angela McKenzie wrote our office, asking for help understanding why the tax rate for her business continues to increase when her unemployment benefit charges were due to COVID-19 in 2020. She wanted to return her 2021 and 2022 tax rate to the year 2020 and be refunded the money she overpaid since then.

Our team reached out to representatives South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce and worked to resolve the tax rate issues for both years. Angela said she reached out to over 10 different representatives from other offices and was very pleased that we were able to take care of this issue for her.
