Fifteen young men and women received their Certificates of Completion as Leaders in Training, a program sponsored by the City of Darlington Police Department and supported by the Darlington County School District and the City of Darlington.

The program is designed to empower children to grow into successful, contributing members of our communities by building character, providing academic support and imparting essential life skills.

On hand to present the certificates and awards were Sgt. Kimberly Nelson and Darlington City Police Chief James “Jimmy” Davis. Also in attendance were City Manager John Payne, numerous educators and sponsors of the program, as well as those individuals who have been extremely instrumental in the success of the program.
